This is my story. I am from South America, I grew up in a society that taught me that I should go to university, then get a job, then get married, then have children, and, what is supposed to come later... taking care of the house, the family, retirement, and that's it! I tried to adapt and be like the others. I was a good business administration student at a good private university with a scholarship that I had to keep for 4 years, which helped me and my mom.

I have been working in my profession for a while, but I could never manage to give up myself to eight hours of office work, an hour lunch, and a couple of weeks for holidays a year. Life goes by very fast and I felt that I was missing it all.
Throughout the years I always had gaps between years of college to do exchange programs, travel, work and save money overseas, as well as gaps from job to job. Thankfully, these gaps gave me the opportunity to get a glimpse of what was truly my heart's desire...
Over time, I learned to combine my passion for travel with my work, and to discover my passion for the digital world. With my love for travel, I created my first website www.somosmaqueviajes.com, where I started to share my story, the story of other travelers, how to make the most of exchange programs during university, and other programs, to continue exploring the world.

In the discovery of the digital world, I realised that marketing has a big role in it, which I had already studied at university (one of my favorite areas). So, I decided to study a diploma to specialize while traveling, and that is how I became a “Digital Entrepreneur or Digital Nomad”.
While in Australia, I started working on creating and maintaining web sites, creating / managing content and learning more about digital design for branding. Even being a Spanish speaker, making many mistakes on the way, trying to stand out in another part of the world, and in another language...I did it and it made me feel so capable! I began to take advantage of the freedom that technology gives to be able to live and work from anywhere in the world, even when I return to my home country.

Starting a business from my computer is something that is changing my life, allowing me to travel and work at the same time. Now, with this new Digital Marketing project (living in another part of the world), like the travel blog, I want to inspire other people, other women, other Spanish speakers. I love to help them through what I do, Marketing for small businesses and entrepreneurs, with information, motivation, hacks, providing tools to start a website, and everything I've learned over the years to start your own business idea.
My name is Paola Ramos, a digital entrepreneur, and this was my story.
